It has been a very busy week in my new home, but I am settling in very well. I like it here a lot, but there are LOTS of rules. If I have to go to the bathroom, I have to ask to go outside; sometimes I forget, and sometimes my people don't know that I need to go and I can't wait, but I am getting better. There are lots of fun things to chew, but I am not supposed to chew them, which I think is unfair - after all, this is my house now.
On Wednesday I went to visit my cousin Goliath at my grandparents house. Golly is a big dog, and he likes to play with me. I had fun there. On Thursday I met Dr. Julia and her people at the veterinary office. I was really scared at first, but everyone was really nice to me. I had my ears washed because I had some mites in them - that is why they were itchy - but I have some drops now, and they are getting better which makes me a happy dog.
During the day I live in my little house, and I have never made a mess there. The nice lady from across the street comes at lunch to let me out, and I get to play outside for a while then.
I really really like it outside. I love the snow and the leaves and the dirt and the twigs and the grass and the ice and the squirrels and the birds and the muck and the puddles and the bark and the trees and the mulch and the vines. There is just SO MUCH to see and do.
By the time I am ready to go to bed, I am very tired. I go in my little house, and I feel very secure there so I hardly cry at all, and then I go to sleep and sleep all night long. Then it is up for another day in my busy new home.
