What to tell you about Boris? Free to a good home seems to be the appropriate phrase based on the last 2 weeks, although I think we will persevere a bit longer :)
House training continues with mixed success, although we have reached a break even point for good days versus bad. Boris has learned to wait for his supper, which is a great first lesson. Instead of lunging madly for the bowl, he can now be made to sit while the food goes in the dish, until he gets the "ok" to eat. We were learning "come" pretty well for a while too, but a bit of defiance has set in over the past few days, and training on that one still underway.
And how about that chewing? Would you like a table leg with that chair? Chew, Chew, Chew. Don't turn your head for even a second, or something will have a bite out of it.
In the cuteness department, development is incredible. The big eyes are getting bigger, and he is starting to develop little tufts of hair, the long coat starting to show.
Boris was 4.25 pounds at his first vet visit, and last week was 5.75 - he is getting longer and his nose is starting to fill out. The tail is still short, but the dark highlights seem to be getting darker. Some pictures to follow shortly.
Walking on a lead seems to be second nature, and he loves to go for walks.
Boris gets along well with the neighborhood dogs, Candy and Ruby from across the street, and he LOVES to play with his cousin Goliath.
This week, we hope to have him all day without a mistake while we are at work, and soon will be able to start letting him out in the back yard. That should be fun!
